Our Corporate Relocation Service: What's Included
Single Point of Contact for HR
We know how tricky it can be for HR and mobility managers to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and you can’t afford to be chasing multiple suppliers for updates. We provide your organisation with a dedicated account manager who acts as the single point of contact for all household moves associated with your corporate or business account. Your account manager coordinates every aspect of the employee’s move, liaises directly with the relocating employee to schedule surveys and packing, and also provides regular process updates through to delivery. You receive the strategic oversight, we handle the operational detail.
Employee Household Moves
Our core corporate relocation service covers the complete international household removal. From the survey, packing, export documentation, sea or air freight, customs clearance, and delivery and unpacking at the destination address. We work with the relocating employee’s specific requirements and lifestyle, packing partial or full household contents as appropriate to the relocation. We use our full-packing service as standard for all international corporate moves, removing the burden from the employee entirely and ensuring professional, documented packing that supports any insurance claim should it be needed.
Our packing teams are experienced in working around the realities of a household in the final stages of packing. From family members, pets, remaining items, and the inevitable last-minute additions. We are patient, professional, very efficient, and we leave homes ready for handover.
Duty of Care & Employee Wellbeing
The well-being of your employee during an international relocation is both a moral responsibility and a legal duty of care obligation. A poorly managed household corporate move is one of the leading causes of failed international relocations. Employees who are anxious, unsettled, or dealing with logistical problems at home cannot focus on their new role. By partnering with Euromovers Scotland, you demonstrate a meaningful commitment to your employee’s wellbeing. We communicate proactively, we are always reachable when questions arise, and we treat every employee’s household with the same care and respect we would afford our own.
Inbound Relocations to Scotland
Scotland is an increasingly popular destination for internationals corporate movers, particularly in the financial services, energy, technology, and life sciences sectors. We manage inbound household relocations from any country to Scotland, handling all UK customs formalities, including Transfer of Residence (ToR) relief where the employee qualifies. We arrange delivery to their new Scottish home, and can provide unpacking and settling-in services to help them feel at home as quickly as possible. We can also coordinate with destination service providers for additional settling-in support where required by your corporate policy.
Customs Documentation & ToR Relief
International household removals require customs documentation at both the origin and destination. For employers relocation to the UK from overseas, Transfer of Residence (ToR) relief can eliminate or significantly reduce import duty and VAT on personal and household effects. However, the application must be submitted correctly and ahead of the arrival of your shipment to be eligible. Our team prepares and manages all customs documentation as standard and advises employees on their ToR eligibility and the documentation they need to provide. For outbound moves to EU countries, we manage EU import documentation and advice on any import duty that may be due at your destination.
Flexible Freight Options
Corporate relocations often operate to tight assignment timelines. We offer a full spectrum of freight and shipping option. From full containers (FCL) sea freight for larger households, shared-container (LCL) groupage for smaller volumes, and airfreight for urgent, smaller shipments where the timeline cannot accommodate the longer sea-freight transit times. You don’t have to worry, your account manager will advise you on the most cost-effective and time-appropirate option for each individual assignment, balancing your corporate budget requirements against the employee’s needs.
Excess Baggage & Air Shipments
For shorter assignments, secondments, or situations where only a limited number of items need to move ahead of the main shipment, we manage all the excess baggage and airfreight consignments. This is particularly useful for employees who need certain personal or professional items to arrive before the main sea freight shipment, or where a short-term assignment does not warrant a full entire household move.
Corporate Account Management & Reporting
We provide corporate clients with consolidated invoicing, move-by-move cost reporting, and for clients with account volumes we host regular meetings to discuss service quality, cost optimisation, and process improvement. We are very transparent about costs, timelines, and any issues that arise. We also work collaboratively with your mobility team to continually improve the relocation experience for your employee. We can also provide reporting data to support your mobility programme management and benchmark costs across assignment locations.
Sectors We Support
We have lots of experience supporting corporate relocation in the following sectors from Scotland: financial services, asset management, oil, gas and renewable energy, defence and government, technology and digital services, life sciences and pharmaceuticals, and professional services including legal and consulting. Each sector has distinct assignment patterns, locations, and sensitivities, and our account managers are experience in the specific requirements of each.
Post-Brexit Corporate Relocations
Post-Brexit corporate relocations between Scotland and the EU require careful management of customs formalities on both sides of the border. EU import declarations, destination country import duty assessment. Not forgetting compliance with each EU member state’s specific household goods import rules are now standard components of every outbound corporate move to the EU. We manage these requirements as a core part of our service. Your employee should never face a customs problem that we could have anticipated and prevented. Our team stays current with the evolving regulatory environment in key EU assignment destinations to ensure your relocating employees experience the smoothest possible corporate relocation.

Frequently Asked Commercial Relocation Questions
Can you support employees relocating to any country?
Yes. Through our Euromovers international network, we have vetted handling partners across Europe, North America, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and beyond. We can manage corporate household moves to and from virtually any country in the world.
How do you handle communication with the relocating employee?
We contact the employee directly to introduce ourselves, schedule the home survey, and keep them informed at every stage of the move. Your HR team receives copies of key communications and milestone updates so you always know where each move stands.
What is Transfer of Residence (ToR) relief and does every employee qualify?
ToR relief allows individuals relocating their normal place of residence to the UK to import their personal and household effects free of customs duty and VAT, subject to eligibility conditions. The employee must have lived outside the UK for at least 12 months prior to moving and must have owned the goods for a minimum period. We advise every inbound employee on their eligibility and manage the application process.
Do you offer full packing or does the employee need to pack themselves?
We provide full professional packing as standard for all international corporate moves. This ensures that all items are correctly packed for the specific mode of transport, fully documented, and appropriately insured. Self-packing is not recommended for international shipments and can invalidate insurance cover.
Can you provide storage if the employee's new home is not ready?
Yes. We offer secure, containerised storage at our West Lothian facility for outbound shipments awaiting departure, and we can arrange destination storage through our network partners for shipments that arrive before the employee's home is available.
Can you handle high-volume corporate programmes with multiple concurrent moves?
Yes. We actively support corporate clients with ongoing employee mobility programmes, providing dedicated account management, streamlined processes, and consolidated reporting for programmes involving multiple concurrent or sequential moves.
